KATY [November 5, 2018] – Katy Independent School District will honor all the fallen soldiers, prisoners of war, the missing in action and those who have served and are currently serving in the armed forces at a commemorative wreath laying ceremony led by the Mayde Creek High School (MCHS) Naval JROTC.
Katy ISD veterans as well as community veterans will be honored at the event.
“America’s veterans are a true symbol of patriotism demonstrated through their love for America and their willingness to sacrifice for the people of United States,” said Lieutenant Travis Godwin, Senior Naval Science Instructor at MCHS. “We honor our veterans for their valiant efforts and for allowing us to enjoy freedom every day in this beautiful country,” added Godwin.
