Three Katy Goddard Schools have collected over 2,000 books to be donated to the Texas Children’s Hospital later this week. The school’s efforts are a part of a larger push by all Houston-area Goddard school to donate 10,000 books to the hospital, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create a healthier future for children and women throughout our global community by leading in patient care, education and research.
Throughout the book drive, preschoolers participated in a costume parade featuring their favorite picture book characters, were visited by local author Maria Ashworth for reading time, and also taught by a hospital representative to discuss how their precious donations will help the hospital.
The Goddard School has three locations across Katy and teaches children ages 18 mo – 6 years old.
