Passport Services
Monday, August 13 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Come to the library to apply for your passport or renew one. The person receiving the passport
must be present. Call the District Clerk’s Office at 832-927-5690 to make an appointment or for
more information. Walk-ins are also accepted.
Computer Help by Appointment
Monday, August 13 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, AND
Monday, August 13 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Reserve a 30 minute session to troubleshoot an issue with your computer, tablet or
phone. Or, learn how to download the library’s e-books or e-audiobooks to your device.
Please bring your device with you. Registration is required.
Mystery Book Club

by Chris Pavone. Reserve your copy today! Or, check out an e-book or e-audiobook through the
library’s Overdrive collection. The mystery book club meets the third Thursday of each month.
ESL Conversation

Come to the library on Thursday afternoons to improve your English speaking skills. We
will discuss several topics and enjoy conversation practice together. This ESL

Savvy Stitchers

The Savvy Stitchers is a place to share ideas for different crafts such as knitting and

Writers’ Workshop with the Houston Writers Guild–“Character Development”

Come to the library to develop your writing skills with excellent advice from the Houston Writers
Guild! Today the focus will be on character development. Learn valuable tips on how to bring out
each character in your work.
Introduction to Beekeeping

Come to this free presentation to learn how to get started in beekeeping. Texas Master
Beekeeper, Chris Michel will demonstrate some of the actual equipment used when keeping
bees. Learn about different types of honey. Then get started on the path to beekeeping!
Children’s Activities
We will be taking a break from storytimes for the remainder of this month. Storytimes will resume on September 4th.
Lily’s Library Tales

Come to the library for a family friendly storytime with Lily, a certified therapy dog! This
program is in partnership with Tender Loving K-9s. All ages welcome.
