Katy ISD Appoints New Principal of Seven Lakes High School  

KATY [May 30, 2018] – Katy Independent School District Superintendent Lance Hindt appointed Kerri Finnesand as the new principal of Seven Lakes High School (SLHS).  Finnesand will be replacing Ted Vierling who was named the new assistant superintendent of operations during the monthly Katy ISD board meeting.

“Becoming a Spartan is a distinction I will value tremendously,” says Kerri Finnesand, new principal for SLHS.  “I will uphold the great work that has taken place by the campus students and staff and also strive to advance the educational excellence values as well as the character and service we offer at this campus that I now call my new home,” added Finnesand.

Ms. Finnesand has 22 years of experience in education.  Her service includes five years of teaching, three years as an assistant principal, two years as an intermediate principal and 13 years as a principal at all three levels.  Ms. Finnesand holds a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and a Master of Education from the University of Houston.

Finnesand will join the Spartan family on May 31.
