Learn Coffee Basics At Cinco Ranch Branch Library  

Coffee novices and coffee aficionados alike who are interested in learning the finer points of brewing an aromatic, flavorful cup of coffee are invited to attend a special program, “Coffee 101,” on Saturday, October 14, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., in the Meeting Room of Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.

Bryan Hibbard, roaster and owner of Fort Bend Coffee Roasters in Fulshear, will talk about the history of coffee, the “seed-to-cup” story, home coffee-brewing, and proper storage. Learn how to buy and brew better coffee at home. Enjoy the aroma and taste of freshly brewed coffee samples made by Hibbard during the program!

Hibbard is an SCAA-accredited roaster, a green-coffee buyer, and a barista.

This program is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library. Proceeds from the Friends of the Library book sales and annual membership dues help to underwrite the costs of special programming and various cultural events at the library.
