Dining at Agave Rio for Officers from Illinois bringing donations for Harvey Victims

By Nancy Chesbro

Last Friday evening, I had dinner at a new restaurant.  At least new to me.

The Katy Lions Club had received a Hurricane Harvey supply truck driven by two officers from Monroe county, Illinois.  These supplies were collected and donated by the people from Century 21 Advantage real Estate office in Columbia, Illinois and sent to Katy to distribute to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Before unloading the truck, we treated the officers to dinner at Agave Rio on FM 1463 in Katy.

This unique and beautiful place was wonderful.  The food was delicious and the service was like no other.  What impressed me was when Steve Livingston, the owner, heard the reason for us being there, he couldn’t do enough for all of us and the officers.  They announced to the other customers why we were there and all applauded the two officers and the Century 21 Advantage people for their generosity.

Agave Rio and their staff  made sure the National Guard was fed during the Hurricane Harvey clean-up in Katy.

This is the place to go.  Good food, good people and a restaurant with a heart.

Many thanks to Agave Rio for making this evening a special one for the Katy Lions Club and their guests.  We will be back.
