Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center celebrated one year anniversary celebration!

The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center – A Very Special Project of the Children’s Museum of Houston celebrated its first birthday on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
Baird, a global financial services firm with offices in Houston, served as birthday bash sponsor and offered free admission to kids one year and younger and anyone with a May 20th birthday.
Baird also presented the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center with a birthday gift of $20,000.
The celebration kicked off with a jubilant ceremony complete with jugglers and “happy birthday” singing, culminating with a burst of confetti cannons.
A DJ’s heart pounding beats fueled the celebration along with the serving of free cake and a visit from special guests including H-E-B’s H-E-Buddy, McDonald’s characters, Sugar Land Skeeters’ Swatson, and even Pikachu!
Sugar Land Mayor Pro Tem Himesh Gandhi, along with city council members attended the event. The Mayor Pro Tem made a proclamation.
Visitors captured the moment in a commemorative photo booth presented by Mercedes Benz of Sugar Land.
