Don’t Mess With Texas Trash-Off Katy Style

On Monday, April 24th Mayor Fabol Hughes and the City Council issued a proclamation to help promote the Annual Keep Katy Beautiful Trash Bash & Electronic Recycling Event.
Keep America Beautiful has partnered with national sponsors to establish the Great American Cleanup, the largest such grassroots effort in the nation, organize and bring national attention to the community improvement activities undertaken by its participating organizations.
Keep Katy Beautiful, a state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, is working with communities, counties and volunteer groups statewide to conduct litter prevention, recycling, beautification, community improvement and waste minimization activities.
On Saturday, April 29th Keep Katy Beautiful, in partnership with TXDOT, Keep Texas Beautiful, and Republic Waste, with host this year’s annual community Texas Trash-Off and will also be collection electronic items for recycling. The KKB Community-wide garage sale will be the same day, so clean out your closets and garages. To register, visit www.cityofkaty.com.
