New juvenile fiction imparts lessons on bond between human, animals

COPPELL, Texas – From her personal experiences in raising exotic animals, author L.M. Smith wrote the book “Pug: The Goat” (published by Xlibris), a story about the bond and friendship between humans and animals.

“Pug: The Goat” follows the story of a goat named Pug. She likes to be everybody’s friend. She lives on a ranch with lots of other animals; all of them are Pug’s friends. Pug’s mother is a regular goat but her father is a pygmy goat. Pug is very small and always has trouble getting through the grass in the pasture. Pug’s parents and the other adult goats would graze, eat the grasses in the pasture and she could not keep up.

The book imparts the lessons that lending a hand can appear in many forms and that friendship can be formed between people and animals. “Pug: The Goat” is a heartwarming read that will make the readers gain more respect to every human beings’ furred and feathered friends.

About the Author

L.M. Smith as a retired individual. She moved to the country and raised exotic animals. She has undergone stage three breast cancer and the animals helped her tolerate her chemotherapy treatments. She had taken many pictures of the different animals and decided to use them to write stories.
