New book proposes zero-violent conflict model

Christian S. Yorgure, PhD announces release of ‘Multinational Corporations and Host Communities’

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Christian S. Yorgure, PhD noted that when multinational corporations and host communities engage in conflicts, both parties suffer devastating consequences. He wanted to provide a solution to this problem of conflict on a global scale and encourage social change. It prompted him in writing “Multinational Corporations and Host Communities: Proposing the Zero-Violent Conflict Model” (published by Xlibris).

A by-product of a combination of experience and research, this book contains the model that may potentially end violent conflicts between multinational corporations (MNCs) and their host communities. Yorgure believes that MNCs and host communities can engage in gainful transactions. Thus, he developed the zero-violent conflict model, a checklist for multinational corporations and host nations’ consideration when choosing host communities for MNCs and accepting MNCs for host communities. The chapter on social change is an attempt to make a case for implementing the zero-violent conflict model.

“Our new world has seen an unprecedented proportion of violence, especially in the less-developed nations, attributed to multinational corporations and globalization. This book speaks to the solution needed in part to avoiding some of the sentiments that brew the spate of violence that we see today,” Yorgure points out.

The construct and entire content of the zero–violent conflict model featured in this book is Yorgure’s original work. He hopes readers will understand the model and use it as a tool for avoiding violent conflicts and all forms of disputes between corporations and communities.
