By George Slaughter: The Katy Independent School District has reinstated former Taylor High School football coach Trey Herrmann following a week-long period of paid administrative leave. KISD had placed Herrmann on leave August 18 but said it is unrelated to Herrmann’s role with students. City Council Passes Ordinance Restricting Parking Near Katy High School During School Hours

The ordinance comes after complaints from residents who live near the school. Referral Deadline for Kindergarten Gifted and Talented Screening

Parents of kindergarten students in Katy Independent School District may refer their children for Challenge (Gifted & Talented) screening between September 19 and October 10. All kindergarten parents will receive information in their child’s take-home packet on how to refer him or her beginning the week of September 19.
