Microsoft Word Class

Are you interested in getting more out of your Microsoft Word program?  On Tuesday, November 7 at 7 PM, the Maud Marks Library will be teaching the basics of how to use Microsoft Word.  Can’t come then?  Don’t worry, the class will repeat Tuesday, November 21 at 1 PM.  Basic keyboard and mouse skills are required.  Please call the Maud Marks Library at 281-492-8592 for more information and to register.  

Wednesday Wonders

Come to the library and let imaginations soar as you explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) with crafts and activities.  On Wednesdays, November 1, 8, 15, and 29 at 4:45 pm, the Maud Marks Branch Library will host Wednesday Wonders for ages 6-11.  These programs normally last about one hour.  All necessary materials are provided.  This is a ticketed program.  Tickets are available at 4:30 the day of the program. Volunteer at the Library

Volunteer opportunities abound at the Maud Marks Library.  Volunteers are needed to help shelve, count patrons, and more.  We will be holding our next volunteer orientation on Thursday, November 2, at 5 PM.  Students should be in high school and must be able to commit to two hours a week.  If you would like to help in any way, please contact Elizabeth Herndon at 281-492-8592.


Teens & tweens in 6th grade and up are invited to come MAKE something at the library.  This will be a monthly program which will include robotics, science experiments, art & crafts, and more!  This month, on November 2 at 3:30, we will be making a holiday photo booth.  This is a ticketed program.  Tickets will be available 30 minutes prior to the program.  Come have fun and MAKE something!

Unlocking Medicare

Holiday Book Bash

Treat yourself to a good book this holiday season!  At the Maud Marks Library, we are big fans of writers and it’s time to celebrate them!  Our 4th annual Book Bash will be on Saturday, November 4, between 2-4:30 PM.  Mix and mingle with prize winning authors where there will be 2 hours of storytime, crafts, author talks, and  prizes for those attending. Young Adult Book Club, Advisory Council & More For Teens At Cinco Ranch Branch Library
