Outdoor adventures for ages 6 and up, with a parent or other adult guardian. Creating nature experiences for families in the heart of the city. Join our naturalists for some quality time with your family learning new skills and ways to get outside and be healthier, happier, and smarter!
Backyard Birdhouse Saturday, February 4, 1 – 3 pm $25 member / $50 nonmember – per family (Price includes up to 4 family members; $5 per additional family member. Each group will receive materials for one birdhouse. If you wish to make multiple birdhouses, you must register separately for each kit.)
Build and paint a backyard birdhouse for your own outdoor space. Using simple hand tools like hammers and cordless drills, we’ll build a wooden habitat for a local songbird. You’ll also learn how to identify our most common nesting birds, what challenges urban birds face each day, and how you can help.
