Are you a “wannabeekeeper” or simply have questions about beekeeping? In this class we will discuss the basics of what you need to know to get started keeping bees in your backyard or on your rooftop. We'll discuss honey bee biology and behavior and learn what honeybee stewardship entails. The class will focus on sustainable urban beekeeping, including a hands-on demonstration of necessary equipment and information on where and when to purchase supplies. Ages 16 and up.
