Tuesday, June 4 will feature guided field trips to the region’s prairies and a barbecue dinner with live Texas music. The complete agenda is available at http://www.northamericanprairie.org/agenda.

Late registration is available for single days or the full conference – see www.northamericanprairie.org.

This conference, back in Texas this year, brings together individuals from all over the country to learn from the brightest minds in prairie conservation, restoration, education, and communication. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey’s damage to Houston and coastal Texas, prairies (and their associated wetlands) are in the spotlight for the many benefits they provide. The 2019 North American Prairie Conference will spotlight how prairies can help to create healthy watersheds for people and wildlife.

The 2019 North American Prairie Conference presented by the Coastal Prairie Partnership, Native Prairies Association of Texas, Katy Prairie Conservancy, and The Nature Conservancy – Texas, and hosted by the Environmental Institute of Houston, University of Houston – Clear Lake.
