SUGAR LAND, TX – Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today attended the 36A Coalition’s monthly luncheon. He was the keynote speaker and discussed the importance of Highway 36A as an evacuation route during natural disasters and his efforts to encourage exportation of American and Texas-produced energy around the world. The Highway 36A Coalition is a tri-county group promoting traffic solutions, economic development in Brazoria, Fort Bend and Waller counties.
“As our region grows, we must properly invest in our roads and highways to meet current and future needs” Rep. Pete Olson said. “This route is a win-win for companies, residents and folks just passing through. It will serve as an alternative route for truck traffic, reducing traffic congestion and will also give our community a critical evacuation route to get out of harm’s way in times of crisis. I appreciate the work of the 36A Coalition and their focus on regional mobility.”
