Raising Cane’s Launches Nationwide Campaign Benefiting Lemonade Day Program

Daylong fundraiser for program that teaches kids the power of entrepreneurship set for March 20

BATON ROUGE, La. (March 14, 2019) – Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the Louisiana-based restaurant company known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – is launching its second annual national partnership with Lemonade Day, a non-profit organization that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business.

Raising Cane’s Founder & CEO Todd Graves helped bring Lemonade Day to Louisiana in 2011. Since then, Raising Cane’s restaurants across the state have been actively involved in supporting and promoting the organization.  Last year, Raising Cane’s restaurants across the country joined the effort, resulting in a company-wide donation of more than $75,000 to the organization. Once again this year, all of Raising Cane’s U.S. locations – more than 400 restaurants in 25 states – will be stirring up success by participating in a nationwide fundraiser for Lemonade Day.

On Wednesday, March 20, Raising Cane’s restaurants will donate $1 to the organization for every lemonade purchased from open to close on the fundraising day.

“We are extremely proud to be the exclusive Lemonade Day National Partner,” Graves said. “I began my entrepreneurial journey as a child when I ran a lemonade stand in my front yard. I’m so passionate about the Lemonade Day Program because it introduces thousands of kids to business each year in much the same way. Who knows how many of these budding entrepreneurs will become the business leaders of our future?”

Lemonade Day is a free program that has served over one million children across North America in the past decade. In addition to participating in the fundraiser on March 20, Raising Cane’s customers can register a child to participate in the Lemonade Day Program and give them a taste of the sweet success that comes with owning their own business. “We are so grateful to Todd and his entire team for their unwavering commitment to our program,” said Lemonade Day President Steven Gordon. “They go above and beyond every year to support Lemonade Day and kids across the country.”

At Raising Cane’s, it all starts with the chicken finger. The 100% premium white meat chicken tenderloins are marinated, hand-battered and cooked to order. The menu is also renowned for its craveable – some say addictive – secret-recipe Cane’s sauce, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, freshly brewed sweet tea and fresh-squeezed lemonade. The company is likewise known for its commitment to active community involvement, centered on its six areas of focus: education, feeding the hungry, pet welfare, business development and entrepreneurship, active lifestyles and “everything else!”
