The mission of Texas Miss Amazing is to celebrate the abilities of girls and women with disabilities and provide opportunities for them to build self-confidence in a supportive environment. Texas Miss Amazing is a division of Miss Amazing Inc., a nonprofit organization founded in Nebraska in 2007. Miss Amazing Inc. expanded nationwide in 2010 and the organization is now located in over 40 states.

At the Miss Amazing event, participants are given the opportunity to showcase their abilities in the following categories; introductions to the audience, evening gown presentation and talent showcase. The optional talent event allows for participants to showcase their individual talents. During the evening gown presentation our girls will be escorted by the lovely male dancers of the Houston Ballet. In the spirit of Miss Amazing, all participants are awarded a trophy and crown as National Princesses. At the National level, six participants in various age divisions are selected as National Representatives of Miss Amazing. Representatives from Texas Miss Amazing will travel to Chicago this summer to participate at the 2019 National Miss Amazing event; boasting over 110 participants from across the country.
