Hear About Plants That Attract Pollinators At Library Program

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library will present “Plant for Pollinators,” a workshop for backyard gardeners, on Saturday, February 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m., in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 8100 FM 359 South in Fulshear.

Susie Marten, a steward for the Katy Prairie Conservancy, will talk about the importance of pollinators – including insects, birds, and mammals – to the local ecosystem. Learn about native plants that can be incorporated into the landscape to attract and support pollinators.

Marten will also talk about the prairie grasslands in the area. Hear about the efforts of the Katy Prairie Conservancy to protect this endangered landscape.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library at 281-633-4675 or the library system’s Communications Office at 281-633-4734.
