New Mission Bend Branch Library Announces Weekly Children’s Programming

Fort Bend County Libraries’ new Mission Bend Branch Library, located at 8421 Addicks Clodine Road in Southwest Houston, will present a variety of free children’s programs – Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, and Story Time — every month.  These programs are free and open to the public. The activities will begin the week of February 11.

Mother Goose Time – Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. – provides caregiver/infant multisensory circle-time activities — including simple sign language, folksongs and lullabies, and finger plays — that are especially designed to stimulate babies’ social, emotional, and physical development through rhythm and music. Mother Goose Time is intended for infants from age 1 month to 12 months. Mother Goose Time will take place on February 14, 21, and 28.

Toddler Time — Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 1 to 3 years of age. Toddler Time will take place on February 13, 20, and 27.

Story Time — Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. — provides stories, movies, and age-appropriate craft activities for pre-school children, from 3 to 6 years of age. Story Time will take place on February 12, 19, and 26.
