In 2006 Shelton Craig and Steve Livingston founded Agave Road in Katy Tx., an amazing venue that hosted more than 1500 special events; helping the Katy Community celebrate life’s special moments. Over the course of 10+ years, their business grew, and they expanded to a second venue, Agave Real; an enhancements business, Agave Brothers (dba Bella Dia), and eventually a catering business & restaurant, Agave Rio -Tex-Mex Cantina & Patio Oasis. Both partners have deep roots in Katy with a combined total of more than 50 years of serving the community.
Late in 2017, Agave Estates (formerly Agave Real) became the primary event venue and the restaurant became the source of catering for these amazing events. For two years now, the restaurant has not only offered delectable delights for the event business but has also been a source for great celebrations for the Katy Community, as a go-to Patio Oasis for weekend gatherings. Today, Agave Interests has announced that Agave Rio will suspend its daily food service effective January 2nd, in order to turn its focus back to its roots -and what they love to do. “We had a great time with the restaurant, hosting large family celebrations, romantic dinners for two, and everything in between” said Livingston. “But we are now excited to turn our full attention and future investment back to our roots and what we have built our reputation around for the past decade – creating unforgettable event experiences for our clients.”
