HOUSTON—Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) will be distributing food and toys to Holiday Project registrants on Saturday, December 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The purpose of the annual Holiday Project, which consists of a food and toy drive, is to provide local families in need with food and toys for the holiday season. Registration for the Holiday Project began in September, and those meeting eligibility requirements were given food vouchers to redeem for holiday meals in both November and December. Families with children 12 and under were also given toy vouchers.
Registration is now closed, but donations are still being accepted. Food donations may be delivered to the Joanne Watford Nutrition Center (JWNC) located on the side of NAM’s building at 15555 Kuykendahl Road, Houston, Texas 77090. Please note that the JWNC cannot accept dented canned goods or expired foods.
Toy donations may be delivered to NAM’s Toy Room on the Main Floor at NAM. Only new, unwrapped toys are being accepted for children ages 0 – 12 years old. The NAM Toy Room will be open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Last year NAM’s Holiday Project provided meals for more than 2,000 local families and toys for over 2,000 children.
