Shaylon Govan of Mayde Creek High School, has signed a letter of intent to play for Stephen F. Austin University’s softball team. Shay has had a great ride at Mayde Creek. As a Freshman she was elected 1st Team All-District as well as Academic All-District, and was number 3 in the state of Texas for 6-A in home runs. She continued to maintain her 1st Team All-District and Academic All-District in both her Sophomore and Junior years. She can no longer get on the leader-boards for home runs because no-one is willing to pitch to her! Mayde Creek is proud of her accomplishments, and looks forward to watching her play her final year with the Rams before heading off to Nacogdoches and playing with the Ladyjacks.
