Katy ISD to Hold Public Forum for Naming of Student Support Annex  

KATY [November 2, 2018] – The Student Support Annex Naming Advisory Committee will present a recommended name for the facility to the Board of Trustees at the Work Study meeting on Monday, November 5.  Community members will be invited to a public forum to provide input regarding the proposed name.

The Student Support Annex, recently known as “Creech University” for being a former University of Houston satellite campus, served as the temporary home for displaced Creech Elementary students and staff after Hurricane Harvey.   The facility, which is now property of Katy ISD, will house the District’s Early Childhood Testing, Work-based Learning Program, Speech Therapy Testing, Vision Impaired and Braille staff, Occupational and Physical Therapy, and other special education related services working together toward the success of all students.
