Digital-Camera Basics For Beginners At Cinco Ranch Branch Library

The family is coming over, and you’re dying to show them your vacation pictures from your digital camera. The only problem is you don’t know a megabyte from a mega-nibble. What do you do? Don’t panic! Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library will present an introductory program, “Digital-Camera Basics,” on Wednesday, November 21, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., in the Computer Lab of the library, located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.

A staff person from the Adult Services department of the library will discuss the basics of digital photography and the different features and capabilities of a camera. Learn how to transfer pictures from a digital camera to a computer, how to upload pictures to an online photo album, and how to send photos through email. Those attending the program will also learn how to use free, online photo-editing tools to fix or fine-tune photos or to create special photo effects that can make your photos more exciting and visually appealing.

The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are recommended. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Events,” select “Cinco Ranch Branch Library,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-395-1311, or by visiting the library.
