Local Authors Share Publishing Tips At Cinco Ranch Branch Library

As part of National Novel-Writing Month in November, Fort Bend County Libraries will present a special program for aspiring writers, “Write Now! Real Talk with Local Authors,” on Saturday, November 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, in the Multi-purpose Room of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library, 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.

Kristen Kiesling will lead a panel of local award-winning authors who will share their personal experiences as writers. Hear about the challenges faced by both traditional and self-published authors, how they got started, and how they structure their writing life and find inspiration.

Panelists Lynne Kelly, Varsha Bajaj, and Maria Ashworth will also provide tips on how to get started on the path to becoming a published author. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Cinco Ranch Branch Library at 281-395-1311 or the library system’s Communications Office at 281-633-4734.
