James. E. Taylor High School to Present Shakespeare’s Midsummer

Houston, TX – September 11, 2018 – The Taylor PlayMakers announce their first play of the season, Shakespeare’s riotous comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The classic comedy begins with some rebellious teens, a few mistaken identities, a splash of love potion, and an infamous play-within-a play – creating the perfect recipe for entertainment.

On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers (played by senior James McCann, sophomore Maria Kypriotakis, sophomore Jacob Lewis, and senior Lauren Justman) find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites lurk and fairies rule. The feuding Fairy King and Queen (junior Michael Weinberger II and senior Joelle Schwedland) cross paths with a band of amateur actors lead by Quince (sophomore Hailey Vickich) and Bottom (senior Daniel Olouha). The Fairy King’s top mischief-maker Puck (junior Hannah Morgan) makes that the course of true love is anything but smooth.  Love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most charmed comedy.

Performances take place October 11, 12, and 13, 7:00 pm at the Taylor High School Performing Arts Center, 20700 Kingsland Blvd. Tickets may be purchased online at www.taylorplaymakers.org.   For more information call (281) 237-3653.Fairies listen as Robin Goodfellow the Puck (junior Hannah Morgan) spins a mischievous tale.
