Homeschool Teen Pottery Class begins September 11th

A homeschool teen pottery class will begin Tuesday, Sept. 11, and will run 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday through May.

A homeschool elementary/pre-teen class will begin Monday, Sept. 10, and will run 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Monday through May.

The classes will be held at The Potter’s Wheel: 106 Vintage Park Blvd P, Houston, TX 77070 (near the intersection of Hwy. 249 and Louetta Rd. in Vintage Square)

This is a wheel-based class. Students learn to throw pots and other objects on a wheel. They also learn to make things using coil and slab methods, and to embellish objects using a variety of methods. No prior experience is needed but students who do have prior experience will also enjoy the classes. Each class works on a new project and students work on the project at their own level, so students can learn something whatever their level.

Call The Potter’s Wheel at 281-537-8447 to reserve a space. Each class has eight wheels so room for eight kids.

Classes cost $25 per class, which can be paid by the month or by the class each class day. That includes everything: all clay, glazes, firing fees, materials, tools and aprons, and instruction. No need to bring anything; just show up.
