Oakbend Medical Center’s Patchwork Of Life Event Honors Ann And Jeff Council

Ann and Jeff Council have been named as the 2018 honorees for OakBend Medical Center’s Patchwork of Life event. Both Ann and Jeff have devoted years of service to OakBend Medical Center.  Jeff has been on the board of director for more than 30 years and currently serves as the board president.  Ann has been an active member of the Patchwork of Life committee since its inception and was also among the honorees in the inaugural event.

“Ann and Jeff are pillars of the Fort Bend community and valued members of our OakBend family. We are thrilled to honor them at this year’s Patchwork event. We are looking forward to joining the community in celebrating Ann and Jeff at a fun event for a worth cause,” said Joe Freudenberger, OakBend CEO.

Led by event co-chairs Rachelle Kanak and Rebecca Lazarou, Patchwork of Life 2018 – “Weaving the Threads of Life” – will benefit the intensive care unit at OakBend’s Jackson Street Campus. The money raised will be used for renovations that will help create a warm environment that inspires healing and helps patients achieve their best possible outcomes.

The event will include dinner, live auction and a raffle. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase and personalize a square for the annual dedication quilt made by Pat Hebert. Pat has made a quilt for each Patchwork of Life event since 2013. New for this year, Patchwork of Life will feature a mystery pull from Kendra Scott, in partnership with the jewelry designer’s Sugar Land store.

The Patchwork of Life event is scheduled for Thursday, October 11th from 6:30pm – 9:30pm at Safari Texas in the new Infinity Ballroom. If you would like additional information or to purchase tickets or sponsorships, go to: https://www.oakbendmedcenter.org/patchwork-of-life/ or call 281-341-3094.
