Cinco Ranch Branch Library Book Clubs Announce August Reading Selections

Share your love of reading with other book lovers at one of the book clubs that meet monthly at Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library, located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy. New members are always welcome.

The Literary Lunch League Book Club will meet on Wednesday, August 1, beginning at 12:00 noon, in the Conference Classroom. The book to be discussed is The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary, written by Simon Winchester. This book club meets on the first Wednesday of every month. Those attending are invited to bring a lunch, if desired.

The Young Adult Book Club – for teen readers in grades 9-12 – will meet on Wednesday, August 8, 4:00-5:00 p.m., in the Conference Classroom to talk about If You Find Me, written by Emily Murdoch. Meet with others who share the same love for great books, and have a lively discussion on the reasons a book or its characters were liked or disliked.

Members of the Cinco Ranch Night Readers’ Book Club meet on the third Tuesday of the month during the summer, beginning at 7:00 p.m., in the Conference Classroom. The book club discussion on Tuesday, August 21, will be on The Farm, a novel written by Tom Rob Smith.

The book clubs are free and open to the public. Copies of the books are available at the checkout desk. For more information, call the Cinco Ranch Branch Library at 281-395-1311 or the library system’s Communications Office at 281-633-4734.
