Power Up for Back to School

KATY [July 16, 2018] – As one of the fastest growing school districts in the nation, this year Katy Independent School District will be welcoming nearly 80,000 students on Wednesday, August 15 for the 2018-19 school year.  Before the school bell rings, the district encourages parents and students to Power Up for Back to School through the updated online registration system, PowerSchool Registration (formerly known as InfoSnap).

“The new Katy ISD online registration has a new look and name, however the process remains the same,” said Stacey Brocato, Student Systems Coordinator.  “Online registration is not only a quick and easy option for parents who have new or returning students, it’s cost effective and allows the district to cut back on the unnecessary expense of sending hard copies home with students,” added Brocato.

All Katy ISD students are required to register for the new school year using the online registration system.  This year’s access just got easier with the new online registration icon found in the upper right-hand side of any Katy ISD campus webpage.  Enrollment will take place in two phases which include:

  • New Student Registration – Available on July 16, 2018
  • Annual Student Updates (for current Katy ISD students) – Available on August 1, 2018.  Parents and guardians will receive a unique SnapCode for each student currently enrolled in Katy ISD to the email address on file.

For new Katy ISD students, parents will still be required to visit their child’s designated campus to submit certain documentation, such as proof of residency and vaccination records.
