Katy Taste Fest Organizer Brings New Breakfast-And-Lunch Restaurant To Grand Parkway And I-10

KATY, Texas—A prominent Katy foodie opened a new restaurant concept in the Grand Crossing development near Costco at Grand Parkway and Interstate 10, and if you want to enjoy it, sleeping in is not an option.

Cyril Thomas, the organizer behind Katy Taste Fest, opened The Toasted Yolk Café in Katy on Wednesday, June 20. The new restaurant is the popular local chain’s sixth location and first franchise in the Houston area offering the same menu of fresh, chef-inspired breakfast and lunch dishes served with an irreverent flair, including the Arnold, the Toasted Yolk’s elevated version of eggs benedict.

“I love food, and I’ve been looking for the perfect restaurant experience to share with Katy for a while now,” says Mr. Thomas. “When I discovered The Toasted Yolk, I knew right away that this was a concept that Katy needs. There’s nowhere else in town that my fellow early risers and I can experience this level of flavor and atmosphere before noon.”

The Toasted Yolk Café uses only the highest-quality ingredients and creates every dish from scratch daily, including its sauces, dressings, and soups of the day. The chain’s mission is to offer food so delicious that people come for breakfast and stay for lunch. The Toasted Yolk buys local ingredients at every opportunity in order to deliver a farm-to-table experience.

Delectable beverage pairings are available as well, from addictive coffee confections to tart and twisted mimosas.

“I really envision the Toasted Yolk as the new center of Katy’s brunch scene, and I can’t wait to experience it for myself,” says Mr. Thomas. “I’m already setting my alarm clock.”
