Richmond, TX– On June 4, 2018, at 7AM, OakBend Medical Center opened the door of its hospital in Wharton, Texas.
Within the first 24 hours of opening, the emergency room saw 21 patients, beginning shortly after the doors opened for business. The Wharton Hospital Campus opened with services that include OakBend’s signature No Wait Emergency Room with air ambulance support, including x-ray, CT and Ultrasound, endoscopy services, day surgery and inpatient floor.
“On behalf of the board and the staff, we are thrilled to be a part of this community and are excited to see this relationship come to fruition,” stated Abby King, OakBend Medical Center Board Member and Wharton resident.
