KATY [May 23, 2018] – During the monthly Katy Independent School District Work Study meeting, the Board of Trustees announced Gloria Truskowski as the new director of purchasing.
“To work for such a great school district is an honor. I look forward to creating new relationships and contributing to a department that is vital to the overall function of Katy ISD,” said Truskowski. “As a thriving school district, devoting my skills to its success is one of my utmost objectives during this new chapter in my life,” added Truskowski.
Ms. Truskowski’s 12 years of detailed experience in educational procurement specializing in facilities, transportation and technology have made her the perfect fit for this district. She previously served at Fort Bend ISD, as assistant director of purchasing and material management. She led a staff of ten employees whose focus was customer service, efficiency and increased productivity. Prior to being the assistant director, Ms. Truskowski was a buyer and warehouse specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double minor in Management and Marketing from the University of Houston.
Ms. Truskowski will start her new job in June.
