Judge Robert Hebert, Fort Bend County Judge

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX – On May 1, 2018 Fort Bend County Judge Bob Hebert proclaimed the week of May 6 – May 12, 2018 as Hurricane Preparedness Week.

Hurricane season officially begins June 1st and continues through November 30th.  As we enter the 2018 hurricane season, it is critical that everyone in our area becomes more knowledgeable about hurricanes and hurricane preparedness. During this week, citizens are encouraged to begin to plan and prepare by following a few steps:

  • Determine if you are in a floodplain.
  • Consider purchasing flood insurance.
  • Assemble a disaster supply kit.
  • Create a family emergency plan including a planned evacuation route.
  • Reinforce your home.
  • Secure the outside.

Judge Bob Hebert said, “We can’t be too prepared during Hurricane Season in Fort Bend County”.
