Dr. Everett Piper To Speak At Aristoi Classical Academy’s First Graduation

KATY, TX— Aristoi Classical Academy, a public charter school located in historic Katy, will hold its first graduation on Saturday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m.  Dr. Everett Piper, a nationally known author and speaker, will deliver the keynote address at Aristoi’s inaugural commencement.

Dr. Piper is the fifth president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  In his 14 years as president of OKWU, Piper has become known for his passionate defense of intellectual freedom. He advocates tirelessly for cultural courage grounded in the conservation of time-tested truths, and is the 2016 recipient of the Jeane Kirkpatrick Award for Academic Freedom. Dr. Piper is the author of Not a Day Care: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth, Why I Am A Liberaland Other Conservative Ideas and the viral op-ed, “This is Not a Daycare, It’s a University.” His op-eds are routinely featured in local and national news outlets, he has appeared on many national television programs, and he has served as a regular guest on radio programs across the nation.

Aristoi Classical Academy is a free, public charter school offering classical education from grades Kindergarten through 12th. Aristoi currently has two campuses located in historic Katy, one which serves Kindergarten through 4th grade, and a new campus that currently serves grades 5-12. Aristoi has an enrollment of just over 850 students with plans to expand the new Morton Road campus to accommodate the growing K-12 student body.
