Explore Speciality Teas At Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library

Tea novices and connoisseurs alike who are interested in learning the finer points of brewing an aromatic, flavorful cup of tea are invited to attend a special program, “Tea Time,” on Monday, May 7, beginning at 2:00 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library, located at 8100 FM 359 South in Fulshear.

Bryan Hibbard, roaster and owner of Fort Bend Coffee Roasters in Fulshear, will talk about the history of tea from its origins in Asia to its arrival in the Americas. Hear the “leaf-to-cup” story, learn about the different types of tea and processing methods, and get tips on proper brewing techniques. Enjoy the aroma and taste of freshly brewed tea samples from each major tea type (white, green, oolong, black, and pu-erh), which will be made by Hibbard during the program!

Those attending the program will be eligible for a drawing of tea-related door prizes.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library at 281-633-4675 or the library system’s Communications Office at 281-633-4734.
