Nora’s Home Hosts “Yoga on the Meadow” to Benefit Organ Transplant Patients

Houston (April 12, 2018): Nora’s Home, Houston’s haven for organ failure and transplant patients receiving care in the Texas Medical Center, will host “Yoga on the Meadow” on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa.

The public is invited to attend the second annual event that will educate guests about the needs of organ failure and transplant patients while inspiring attendees with a family-friendly day of yoga classes, food, contests, vendors, healthy cooking presentations and door prizes.

Yogis are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and water bottle to enjoy the following daytime activities:

10 a.m. – Welcome with Kayla Lehmann

10:15 a.m. – Yoga Session 1 with Jen Yuhas

10:45 a.m. – Yoga Session 2 with Andrew Dugas

11:15 a.m. – Yoga Session 3 with Achim Fassbender

11:45 a.m. – Family Yoga with Traci Williams

12:15 p.m. – Yoga Session 5 with Kim Taurins

12:45 p.m. – Yoga Session 6 with Alex Ikhimokpa

1:15 p.m. – Yoga Session 7 with Jonathan McKnight

1:45 p.m. -Yoga Session 8 with Misha Laird

Guests will stroll through the meadow to discover vendors while enjoying live music by Anjali Project. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site. Proceeds from the event benefit transplant patients and their families staying at Nora’s Home, which supports them during the trials of organ transplantation. “Yoga on the Meadow” will also raise awareness for the need of organ donor registration.
