Katy Area First Responders Agencies Announce Katy Area Safety Fest On Saturday, April 14th In Katy, Texas

The largest multi-agency community safety festival in the State of Texas

Katy, TX, April 11, 2018– Harris County Emergency Services District 48 Fire and EMS and our Katy area public safety partners are proud to announce the Third Annual Katy Area Safety Fest hosted by Typhoon Texas.  This year’s event will be held from 10a.m. – 2p.m. Saturday, April 14th, 2018, 555 S. Katy Fort Bend Rd, Katy, TX 77494.  The Katy Area Safety Fest is free to the public and will feature personnel, equipment and apparatus from the 20+ agencies and over 40+ sponsors and non-profit organizations that serve the greater Katy area.

“We are excited to host the Katy Area Safety Fest because Typhoon Texas is all about safety and community and this event is a fun, family friendly opportunity to bring Katy area residents together to learn how we can partner with our first responders to help build a safer community ”, said Evan Barnett, GM for Typhoon Texas.

The Safety Festival’s purpose is to familiarize residents with the men and women who serve the greater Katy area, as well as the daily tasks of various agencies that protect community through a variety of fun, educational, and high-energy activities. Festival activities will include:

  • Fire and EMS exhibits, vehicle tours, demonstrations and extrication demos
  • Life Flight and Harris County Sheriff’s helicopter landing and viewing
  • Law enforcement vehicle tours, safety exhibits and live demonstrations
  • An inflatable play area and children’s activities including “Jr. Firefighter Challenge”
  • Live entertainment, Citizen Action Awards and Safety Challenge Raffle
  • Food and refreshment vendors
