Partnership Provides Platform Spotlighting Health and Wellness Initiatives Through Local Events
(BRYAN, Texas) – Lake Walk, the lively town center featuring lifestyle and outdoor pursuits – has partnered with the Children’s Museum of Brazos Valley by providing a platform through community events to bring awareness to “Play Aggieland,” a project that promotes learning, discovery, and health and wellness.
The Play Aggieland exhibit will be located within the museum and serve as a site for school readiness by promoting early childhood education and parental involvement in learning and play. The exhibit will include monthly programs that help children strengthen their motor and cognitive skills. Play Aggieland will also help children be creative, enhance math, science and problem-solving skills, and introduce health and wellness aspects.
“The Children’s Museum is a wonderful place to enhance the lives of youth and encourage discovery, which is a valued trademark of Lake Walk,” says Justin Shulse, Director of Operations for Lake Walk Town Center. “We both embrace community, wellness and experiences that better our families; it’s a natural partnership that fits our mission.”
The community will find the Children’s Museum of Brazos Valley at a variety of Lake Walk events including the weekly Local Market. The Ducky Derby, a main fundraising event for the Children’s Museum, will also take place at Lake Walk during the ATLAS Glow Run 5k and Concert on May 5.

This month kicks off Lake Walk Town Center’s signature events including The Local, Eats and Beats Summer Concert Series, and free outdoor community yoga classes occurring every Saturday at 8 a.m., beginning on Feb. 24. Stroller Strides – a weekly fitness class for families with young children – occurs Saturdays at 9:30 a.m., and the third annual CHI St. Joseph Gran Fondo cycling event will take place on March 3.
Earlier this month, Coterie, a Women’s Boutique opened at Lake Walk. The fashion boutique offers a unique collection of clothing, accessories, shoes, gifts, high-end furniture and lighting. Coterie also features an in-house interior designer, Jenny Tamplin Interiors.
