Ceyanes and Sadler win District diving championship

Katy High School girls and boys swept the individual championships at the District 19-6A diving finals at Tompkins High School.

Senior Chloe Ceyanes with a score of 463.70 beat her score from last year by almost 60 points. This is her third straight year to win the District title. She finished 10th last year at the state championships.

Tompkins’ Ana Lucia Garcia took second place defeating Summer Taylor of Seven Lakes. Taylor took third place honors this year. Finishing fourth for the girls was Chloe Keen, Cinco Ranch at 261.95; Brianna Cannon, Katy, 260.25 was fifth, Amita Panda, Tompkins, sixth at 216.65, and Jasmine Cobb, Tompkins, seventh with a score of 210.70.

Junior John Sandler scored a final score of 297.60 for first place in the boys’ competition.
