NCJW Accepting Applications for Scholarships

The National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Houston Section is now accepting applications for the Dr. Lee K. Fein Scholarship. College students maintaining a permanent address in the greater Houston area who will be juniors, seniors, or graduate students for the academic year 2018-19 may apply.  The award is $1,500. It is unrestricted, meaning the student can use the money for books, room, board, or whatever is needed.

This scholarship was started by Dr. Feine to help worthy college students majoring in education, health, social welfare, Jewish Studies, or any career aimed at serving the community. It has gone to nurses and teachers, law students, psychology students and others who really want to make a difference.

Dr. Feine, a dentist, was a community activist, a professional woman, and a devoted wife and mother whose memory is honored through this scholarship each year. She was an active, lifetime member of NCJW who devoted herself to the organization when it needed her most.
