I-10 Shootout Tournament Kickoff is set  

Premier Girls High School Soccer Teams from around Texas compete in Katy

Katy, Texas (January 8, 2018) – The Katy Youth Soccer Association (KYSA) 2018 I-10 Shootout Soccer Tournament will be held from January 11 – 13, 2018 at several venues in Katy. The 2018 edition of the I-10 Shootout will showcase some of the best High School Girls Soccer programs in the state of Texas.

This year, the I-10 Shootout will host 56 Varsity Teams as well as 46 Junior Varsity Teams representing all four Texas UIL regions with over 2040 student-athletes participating in the three day event culminating in 8 final matches to be played at Katy Rhodes and Legacy Stadiums. This year, in a partnership with PTS Media Sports (PTS), the four final matches to be played at the recently inaugurated Legacy Stadium will all be streamed live on Saturday, January 13, 2018, starting at 10:00am (CST) and can be seen on the official tournament website (http://www.i-10shootout.org).

“As the tournament continues to grow in terms of participation and impact on the High School Soccer calendar, we have looked for better ways to raise our profile. This year in partnership with PTS Media, we will be live streaming all final matches from Legacy stadium” said I-10 Shootout Tournament Association President, Mr. Todd York.

“It’s a beautiful facility and a great setting for showcasing some of the most talented soccer players in Texas” added PTS Media President Mr. Alex Parra. “For us it is an honor to be partnering with the I-10 Shootout organizers to produce a live stream of all of the final matches.”

KYSA President, Mr. Eric Ecklund said “We are proud to support the I-10 Shootout which is such an important tournament for the Katy Soccer community. Many of the ladies participating in this years tournament have grown up playing in different programs and clubs that are part of KYSA.”

“We couldn’t make this tournament a reality without the help and dedication of all of the soccer programs and coaches in the district. About I-10 Shootout: The 2018 I-10 Shootout tournament is hosted by the I-10 Shootout Tournament Association in partnership with the eight Katy Independent School District (KISD) girl’s soccer programs and is held at several venues in Katy, Texas. The I-10 Shootout Tournament Association is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Proceeds of this years tournament will be used to fund the I-10 Shootout Scholarship Program and support local high school soccer programs through their school athletic booster clubs.
