WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court upholding the Trump Administration Executive Order to strengthen protections for the safety and security of Americans in the homeland as legal issues work through the court system:
“The first priority of the federal government is to protect the American people and safeguard our homeland. We know that terrorists seek to exploit weaknesses in our refugee and immigration programs in order to reach our country. Heightened scrutiny and limiting travel for certain individuals is a necessary action in a world where the United States is a target for terrorism.”
