Houston, TX – On December 3, 2017, This Woman’s Work, a non-profit 501(c)(3), will hold their annual Stilettos & Champagne Fundraising Reception at the Ensemble Theatre.
“This event combines my three favorite things – champagne, beautiful shoes, and serving others,” said Carla Lane, founder of This Woman’s Work and owner of Lane Staffing.
Through programs such as Stepping Into Strength (SIS) Mentoring Program, Carla’s Closet, and IronWomen, This Woman’s Women work is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls.
“Our programs lead to social and economic empowerment and gender equality,” said Lane. “If we build strong woman and girls, their success will lead to stronger families, communities, and ultimately, a better world.”
During the event, Lane will present IronWoman Awards to people who are serving women and girls in the Houston region.
“It is important to honor the people who are working tirelessly to help women and girls succeed in a society that often views them as second-class citizens,” said Lane. “This award recognizes their efforts and encourages them to keep pushing forward.”
Stilettos & Champagne will also feature a Shoe Fashion Show with an array of stunning stilettos, live music, and a raffle.
Individual tickets are $100 and all proceeds go towards funding This Woman’s Work.
“We appreciate everyone who has supported our organization in the past,” said Lane. “We look forward to seeing everyone at this sparkling event.”
