On November 7th 2017, City of Missouri City will have city election for city council members in all districts A through D. The Animal Welfare Voter Information Guide was created for Fort Bend County citizens as a reference so that the City of Missouri city voters will be informed about which candidates support the No-Kill model. It is crucial that we elect people who care about this issue and are willing to solve it to ultimately end the killing of shelter pets in our community. Please be informed before you cast your vote. We appreciate every candidate who responded to the survey. However, several chose not to respond.
In October 2017, Fort Bend Pets Alive! has sent eight questions concerning animal sheltering issues to candidates running for City Council for 2017 City Election in City of Missouri City. The purpose of the Survey was to understand the stances and intentions of the candidates regarding animal welfare issues such as life saving programs that can help make Fort Bend County a No Kill community. As part of an awareness campaign started by Fort Bend Pets Alive!, candidates’ responses have been reviewed , and compiled by our committee. Our committee reviewed both responses and animal-welfare records of all candidates. Nonetheless, there is a candidate rose above others. We should mention Mr. Jeffrey L. Boney, an unopposed candidate, took his time to respond to the Animal Welfare Questionnaire.
Early voting starts on Oct 23rd, 2017 and ends on Nov 3rd, 2017. Election Day is Nov 7th, 2017
