Estate Planning for Small Businesses

Central Fort Bend Chamber and OakBend Medical Center hosted the Working Lunch Series, Estate Planning for Small Businesses, on October 20, 2017.   Over 20 local business owners and employees learned how to plan for the future to protect their assets and insure business success after first generation ownership and management.

Guest speaker, Norma M. Petrosewicz, Petrosewicz Law Firm, P.C., presented the group with topics for business owners on the importance of estate planning. The class learned what a business succession plan is and why business owner’s need one.  Norma also addressed methods of transitioning ownership interests to insure the success of the business upon the owner’s death, disability or retirement.   The presentation was followed with Q&A to address specific circumstances.

Norma Petrosewicz is an attorney who specializes in estate planning and probate matters.  She is board certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a Certified Public Accountant.  She has been a speaker for the State Bar of Texas continuing education courses, and has authored many articles on various estate planning topics.  You can find more information about Norma and the Petrosewicz Law Firm at www.petrolaw.com.

The Central Fort Bend Chamber’s Working Lunch Series focuses on technical education topics for small business and is held the third Thursday of each month.

Sponsorships are available for $500 for the Working Lunch Series. The cost of the luncheon is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members.
