Houston CPA Society’s grant program seeks to provide funding to local schools hurt by Harvey

HOUSTON, TX—-Houston CPA Society’s CPAs Helping Schools grant program seeks to provide financial support to local schools to establish initiatives for at-risk youth including math, technology, literacy programs, library improvements, science materials, resources for after school programs, fine art programs and health awareness.

Call to apply to grant program:

While a funding limit of $5,000 per school year is currently allowed per campus; this amount is dependent upon the number of viable applications reviewed.  CPAs Helping Schools will work diligently to award funds to impact the greater number of at-risk students. Local Schools who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey are strongly encouraged to apply.

The grant application and more information can be found on Houston CPA Society website under the CPAs Helping School tab. www.houstoncpa.org. The CPAs Helping Schools grant deadline has been extended to Tuesday, November 7.

Since 2002, CPAs Helping Schools (CHS) has reviewed over 600 grant applications, awarding funding in excess of $550,000 to over 200 schools in 35 local districts, private, parochial schools and nonprofit educational organizations.
