Olson Thanks Brazoria Sheriff For 50 Years Of Service

PEARLAND, TX – Rep. Pete Olson yesterday presented Brazoria County Sheriff Charles Wagner with congressional remarks and an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in honor of his 50th anniversary as a law enforcement officer. The presentation took place at the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office in Angleton.

“I want to thank Sheriff Wagner for his 50 years of public service,” Rep. Pete Olson said. “Sheriff Wagner exemplifies the dedication of our law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line each and every day in order to protect our communities. All of Brazoria County has benefitted from his exceptional leadership and commitment to safety. Thank you again for your service and dedication.”

Sheriff Charles Wagner joined the Freeport Police Department in 1967. He worked as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant, detective sergeant, detective lieutenant and Chief of Detectives. He also served as Chief Deputy of the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department from 1985 until taking office as Sheriff in 2005.
