Superintendent Hindt Promotes Katy ISD Education Foundation Fundraiser

Proceeds Benefit Katy ISD Staff, Students and Their Families

(Katy, TX) – “We are, and will always be, KATY STRONG,” declares Katy ISD Superintendent, Dr. Lance Hindt. The Katy ISD Education Foundation has reached 48% of its goal in just one week for its fundraiser benefitting Katy ISD staff, students and their families who suffered from flood waters in their homes as a result of Hurricane Harvey.  The Foundation will collect donations from the community through mid-October, while Katy ISD campuses will identify students and staff in need of support. This fundraiser is a one time, special project separate from the Education Foundation’s teacher grant program and 100% of all funds raised will go directly to Katy ISD students, staff, and their families. The Foundation hopes to see exponential growth in contributions as thousands of staff and students were affected.
